Community Events

Yoga, breathwork and meditation offer valuable tools for personal wellbeing. But feeling connected is just as important. Sharing experiences, meeting like-minded people and discovering new perspectives can bring a sense of belonging that supports us in everyday life. I believe wellbeing extends beyond individual practice. It's also about creating spaces where people can come together, connect and experience something meaningful.

Would you like to join one of these activities or hear about upcoming events? Or are you organising a gathering where one of these experiences could be a meaningful addition?

The medicine of Cacao has a long history of use in ceremonial and communal gatherings. It increases our awareness, heightens the mood and improves concentration.

Through its harmonizing and heart-opening tendencies, it is also enjoyed as a mindful experience that invites us to connect to our intuition and our self. In these settings, the cacao is integrated by guided meditation, creative work or ecstatic movement. Whether shared in an intimate circle or a larger gathering, with a clear intention, it creates a heartwarming experience.

Sound healing is a practice that aligns the frequencies and vibrations in our body to allow our energy to move freely. Using various instruments such as singing bowls and healing sounds, a sound bath creates an immersive soundscape that encourages stillness, deep relaxation and a sense of trance.

While individual sound healing sessions offer a more personally designed experience, a group sound bath allows participants to rest together, each experiencing the sounds and vibrations in their own way.

A women's circle is a gathering of women, sharing experiences and connecting beyond the roles and expectations of everyday life. Through open conversation, reflection and shared presence, we create room for different perspectives, personal stories and authentic expression.

It is a space for support, inspiration and mutual understanding, where every woman is welcome to show up as she is, without the need to perform or have everything figured out.

During spring and summer, I bring gentle yoga and breathwork into the parks around Leiden. These donation-based sessions are open to everyone, regardless of experience. Together, we take an hour to move, breathe and enjoy being outdoors.

The intention is simple: to create a small pause in the middle of a busy week and make movement and connection part of everyday life. There is no pressure to commit to a weekly class or maintain a fixed routine. Simply join whenever it fits your schedule and feels right for you.

One of the things that makes humans feel most connected is to give something to a bigger cause. Volunteering offers the opportunity to contribute to something bigger than ourselves, meet people from different backgrounds and discover new perspectives. Whether it's working outdoors, connecting with another generation, supporting a local initiative or learning something completely new, there are many ways to become part of a community.

I'd love to highlight inspiring volunteering opportunities in and around Leiden. Vrienden van het Singelpark, Fietsmaatjes Leiden, Stichting Leiden Oogst, De Grachtwacht, Oma's Soep Leiden
